FAQ – Digital Courses by Yasmine

Are these courses for my level?

Most of my courses are designed specifically for adult learners between A2 and C2.
If you’re just starting and you are a complete beginner, the best option for you is my private French classes, which you can join directly from my website. That is absolutely the most efficient and intelligent way to build your foundation, especially if you don’t want to lose time learning bad habits.

All my digital courses use real, modern, everyday French not outdated textbook French or academic jargon. My students finally understand why the language works the way it does, and intermediate learners get clarity without drowning in unnecessary rules or overwhelm.

If you’re not sure about your level, I highly encourage you to take my free placement test. Also, if you would like to know your level, please take this free placement test.

It will give both of us a clear idea of where you are and where you should begin.

Do I need to prepare anything before starting?

No preparation is needed. The only things I recommend are a notebook, a pen, and the willingness to follow the steps I give you. My courses are designed to guide you step by step, with structure, clarity, and zero confusion.

You simply log in, press play, and let the course take you from the beginning to the end.
Depending on the offer, you may have lifetime access or one-year access. Whichever it is, I strongly recommend completing the course soon after purchasing it and then returning to it a few months later for a proper revision. That’s how you build long-term memory.

All templates, examples, exercises, bonus files, and resources are already included, so you never start from scratch.

How long do I have access to the course?

You get 365 days of access, unless the product page specifies lifetime access.
This gives you more than enough time to learn at your own pace, revisit the modules whenever you need, and come back for refreshers throughout the year without pressure, guilt, or “Oh my God, I forgot everything”.

How much time will I need each week?

You can study as much or as little as you want and trust me, I would love to tell you there’s a magic shortcut. But I’m here to tell you the truth: learning French requires work. The more time you give your French, the faster and further you’ll progress.

Most modules are short, impactful, and designed for people with extremely busy schedules.
Even 5–15 minutes a day can create real progress if done consistently.

In all my courses, I recommend at least one hour of independent study per module and at least two hours per week if possible. For every hour of class or video, I advise one hour of revision and practice.

Reviewing outside your lessons is essential. This is the moment when your brain consolidates the information, makes connections, and locks in what we covered. Your brain needs repetition,  a lot of repetition,  to make French feel natural.

Will this actually help me speak better?

Yes,  because everything I teach is practical, research-informed, and based on 20 years of experience teaching adults. My systems don’t rely on memorizing endless lists or drilling rules you forget five minutes later. They reshape how you learn French.

That said, let’s stay honest:
To speak French… you must actually speak French.
No digital course in the world can replace a regular speaking routine — either with a teacher or in a group class. My courses help you build the foundation, understanding, habits, and confidence that make speaking easier, faster, and more natural.

What if I’ve already taken other French courses before?

Perfect. Most of my students come to me after trying multiple courses, apps, schools, or teachers. My courses are built especially for learners who feel stuck, bored, overwhelmed, plateaued, or simply disappointed by what they’ve tried before.

If another course is already giving you the results you’ve been dreaming of, then you should absolutely continue.
But if you haven’t seen the progress you expected, if you feel lost, or if you’re doing “a bit of everything and getting nowhere,” then it might be time to change your approach. Less is more,  always.

Do I get support if I have questions?

Yes. Every digital course includes a space for direct support where you can ask questions and receive personalized clarifications. Under every single video, there is a dedicated section where you can leave your comments or doubts, and I personally respond to all of them.

If your question is more specific or sensitive, you can also send me an email directly.

Some of my courses include weekly live Q&A sessions, such as Le Club de Yasmine, where you can receive guidance in real time.

Is there a refund policy?

There are no refunds, because my courses deliver immediate and long-lasting value.
The moment you access the platform, you receive tools, strategies, and downloadable resources you can keep forever, even after your access expires.

And truthfully? My students never ask for refunds. They usually buy more courses because they see real results.

Legally, according to Article L221-28 of French law, digital content provided on a non-material medium (like a digital course) is not eligible for withdrawal once access has begun and you have waived your right to cancel. This is the same rule that applies to downloaded films or digital subscriptions.

Can I follow the course even if my schedule is chaotic?

Yes. Every course I build is made for adults with real lives: careers, children, deadlines, travel, stress, responsibilities… and absolutely zero time to waste. You control the pace, and the course adapts to your reality.

If your schedule is extremely tight, I recommend committing to one module per week. This is enough to stay consistent without overwhelming yourself.

Do I need to be “good at languages”?

Absolutely not. The idea of being “good at languages” is a myth — actually, it’s total BS.
Think of it like running or dancing: nobody is good the first day. But with practice, guidance, and regularity, you get better. That’s how languages work.

You become “good at French” when you study consistently with quality content, and when you stop improvising your learning.

What you need is curiosity, motivation, and consistency — not talent.
My methods are designed for real adults: overthinkers, perfectionists, shy speakers, professionals, ADHD brains, tired executives, parents, travellers, expats… everyone.

When can I start?

Immediately.
The moment you sign up, you receive instant access and can begin right away.

Will this help me finally become consistent?

Yes, because you’ll stop improvising and wandering from app to app, book to book, exercise to exercise. Instead, you will follow a clear, structured system that tells you exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to measure your progress.

No more chaos.
No more guessing.
No more “I don’t know where to start.”

Just clarity and direction.

Yasmine, this is a big investment. I can’t afford it right now.

I hear you. Learning Frenc,  truly learning it, for real,  requires a financial and personal investment. Becoming fluent takes a minimum of two years of consistent study, even with the best methods. When you try to do it alone, for free, without structure or guidance, it usually takes double or triple the time… if it happens at all.

And let’s be honest: learning entirely alone is an urban legend,  except for a handful of polyglots who dedicate their entire lives to studying languages.

So ask yourself honestly:
If not now, when?
Will there really be a better moment?
Or will you keep postponing the same goal year after year?

My commitment is simple: if you follow the course, you will see results, and your investment will pay off. The freedom of becoming an autonomous French speaker requires a budget — but it also gives you a lifetime of independence.

Where can I learn more about you and your approach before booking?

I completely understand, investing in your education and choosing a teacher is a personal decision.
