Rules for attending the course:

⏰ Be on time. You will not be accepted if you are late.  Your teacher may refuse to let you re-enter the class. Please note that you will not receive a refund for missed classes.

👩‍🏫 All communication about your course is done through Google Classroom. Do not contact your teacher outside of classes directly by email. All questions about your course and the language are answered during class time and/or on Google Classroom.

🎧 Make sure to use good-quality headphones. AirPods are fashionable but the sound is quite poor.

🔕 Mute yourself if someone behind you is talking, making noise, or playing music.

🗃 Save the code / direct link of your class in an easy to access location.

🕐 Connect to the class at least 5 minutes beforehand to avoid last minute bugs, computer’s update, etc.

🔌 We are not responsible for your internet connection or any other technical issues. No refund of any sort will be given.

⚙️ Your teacher is not required to interrupt the course to allow you back in if you were disconnected from the class because of connection problems.

👩‍💻 You can attend the class on your phone, but please note that it is a lot more difficult to see the shared screen and chat functionality in the app.

💪 We believe in hard work. You’ll be asked to study also on your own and outside of class time. To ensure results, please make sure to re-read your notes 7 times before attending the next class. This work is necessary and foundational to your learning. The results you’ll see in your French is more than worth the effort.

✅ The expectation is that homework will be done before class. This helps ensure that you are able to participate in class with your teacher and classmates – and makes you feel more prepared and confident!

📓 You’ll be asked to do at least 1 hour of French each day to ensure your progress.

👍 You’ll be able to ask anything about the French language but… this is a group class, be a team player and leave space for other students to speak and ask questions.

🌍This is a group adult class, which means that even though we try to put you in a group with other students of the same level, people learn differently and differences between levels will probably occur. It’s impossible to have a 100% homogenous group.

👩‍🏫 It may sound surprising, but you are back to school. You decided to join our course to have results. To help you reach your dream of speaking French, we track your attendances and if you miss the class more than 3 times, you’ll be excluded from your course.

✋ Do not interrupt other students when they speak.

🤒 If your teacher is sick, your class will be postponed to a later date.

🤩 Only bring positive vibes to the group.

🤔 If you feel you are in the wrong group (too easy or too difficult), then let us know as soon as possible.

😅 It may sound obvious, but this is a French class, so you are required to speak… French.

📵 Turn off all distractions, notifications, and your phone.

🚷 Don’t leave the class without notifying your teacher.

📣 Your full attention is required. Don’t multitask during your class.

🍔 Don’t eat during your class

🧼 Turn off your washing machine if you’re next to it.

👻 Put your camera on. It’s nicer to learn, talk, and teach to real people.

🌈  Diversity is important to us and you should know that our teaching staff and students reflect this ✌🏻✌️✌🏽✌🏿🌈

⚡️We are doing our best to avoid any technical issues, but… we are human and we depend on technology. In 2021 it’s impossible to be 100% technical-issue free. Bear with us on this.
